Just a few more days until our January swap this coming Sunday, the 11th. Note that we’ll be meeting at 8 pm, as my family will be up north at our church retreat until early evening.
We’re back to our full 12 swappers this month, so please prep 12 entrees and bring 11 to the swap to share. We’re gifting meals this month to a family from my church, Adam and Shelly and their five kids. Adam was recently diagnosed with colon cancer (he’s in his 40’s) and almost immediately underwent surgery. He’s now on a six month regime of chemotherapy. Shelly’s mom has also been battling cancer, and has recently stopped treatment and started hospice, so this family has a lot on their plate, in addition to working and parenting their kids! If this works for you this month, you would prep 13 rather than the 12, or also feel free to pull something you still have in your freezer from another month that your family has not gotten to yet.
Congratulations to Jess and Rick on the safe arrival of their baby boy, Isaac! He arrived on December 21st and the new family of five is doing well!
Last, just the usual friendly reminder to please submit your recipe to the blog by this Friday evening so that Marci has time to compile the recipes in pdf form.
Looking forward to seeing everyone this Sunday evening!
